Today is one month since my beloved cat has passed away. I wrote in 2020 in detail how we travelled from India to UK in this blog post.

She lived a life full of love, care and joy but the kidney disease she was suffering from progressed to the final stage by June 2025 and there was nothing that could be done to keep her going. This is one of her last pictures taken at home-a few days before she got worse and was taken to 24/7 pet hospital:

Words can't describe my pain, I was and I am devastated. This bond was special, cherished and unique.

On the day she passed away, we drove to Liverpool embankment to try and put ourselves together after losing her in the pet hospital. We walked till the very end of the embankment and started walking back, when we suddenly saw Stena Line ferry passing by!!!The same Stena Line ferry that she and I took from Hook of Holland to Harwich in 2015 about which I wrote here

The beginning and end of her life in the UK was marked by the same ferry-I believe it was a mark of the end of our journey together...I filmed this ferry slowly going by and was grateful for this sign feeling very sad and heavyhearted:

This is the parakeet which I saw on 26th June 2025 and lifted her to our windowsill to see it too because she was losing her interest in everything and was not bothered any more by any birds chirping outside, although she loved watching birds all her life. That was the last bird she saw from our windowsill...

And today one month after her passing I completed  this little painting of a parakeet bird which she last saw from the window of our house before she was taken to a 24/7 hour pet hospital to try and get her better:
